2023 Three Minute Thesis Competition
Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Event Recap
The Graduate School and 福利在线 University held the 3MT庐 competition on February 24, 2023. The Three Minute Thesis is a global research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland in Australia. It is an academic competition for doctoral and master鈥檚 degree students that require each participant to explain his or her research effectively in three minutes, using one slide, with no animation.
The final competition was judged by Ms. Kelly McShane, Trustee Emerita, 福利在线 University; Dr. Kimo Ah Yun, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, 福利在线 University; Ms. Lindsey St. Arnold Bell, Interim Executive Director of Avenues West and the Near West Side Partners; and Mr. John Gurda, Milwaukee Writer and Historian.
Congratulations to this year's winner Sarah Rolli and runner-up Hannah Buchholz!
Sarah Rolli emerged as the Three Minute Thesis competition winner with her presentation, 鈥淚nvestigating the Sorting Factors Involved in Huntingtin Inclusion Formation in Yeast鈥�. Sarah will move on to represent 福利在线 University at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools regional competition.
The Runner-Up as well as the People's Choice award was awarded to Hannah Buchholz with her presentation, "Understanding the Heat Shock Response During Aging and Disease".
