Policy on Graduate Assistantship Lines
Units are not authorized to move salary savings from assistantship lines to fund other unit needs.
- As soon as offers and acceptances are determined, units will report to the Graduate School the status of filling all allocated assistantship lines.
- Funding provided by the unit for graduate student employees hired outside of allocated assistantships will remain at the discretion of the unit.
- Salary increases for assistantship lines will be determined by the Graduate School during the annual budget building process and added directly to the assistantship lines by the Budget Office.
- Graduate School may transfer identified graduate assistantship salary savings out of units for other assistantship priorities as determined by the Graduate School.
